About the position

Penn State Lehigh Valley LaunchBox offers a Teen Entrepreneurship Challenge camp to students in grades 9th-12th for a week-long residential camp at the Penn State Berks campus. Summer Program Support residential assistants are needed from Sun. July 27th - Sat. August 2, 2025. This position requires an interest in assisting in a dynamic, energetic learning environment. College students with degree pathways in Business, Science, Engineering, and Education, with an interest in entrepreneurship-related topics are encouraged to apply. Candidates must display a commitment to diversity, co-curricular education, and sustainability, and should have excellent communication skills. In addition to week-long programming, there will be a mandatory training session held prior to the start of the camp.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Instructor and students with projects
  • Monitoring students during evening activities
  • Supervising small group break-out sessions
  • Promoting a fun and inclusive environment that contributes to learning
  • Assist in delivering a safe, high-quality programmatic experience for high school students.

Requirements

  • Available during the portion of formal instruction hours
  • Must be available for all breakout sessions, instruction time, and evening activities
  • All staff members must take Reporting Child Abuse training per University Policy AD72
  • This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, FBI Criminal Background Check
