About The Position

Engineering & Technology Innovations is seeking a Teardown Engineer to join our Lab Team in St. Louis, MO. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, and Mid-Level Teardown Engineer. In this role, you will support all business units by leading and executing complex teardown, reverse-engineering, and component analysis activities that enable some of the most innovative work in the industry. This challenging position requires creative problem-solving, close collaboration with internal and external customers, and a high-energy personality to thrive in a fast-paced lab environment. Requirements

  • Do you have a Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • Experience in related engineering fields, such as systems or software engineering
  • Work schedule flexibility to support international team members

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: structures, systems, interiors, manufacturing, avionics
  • Cross functional experience working with global partners
  • Experience with systems engineering; understanding the cost & design trades and current Boeing efforts in design practices, model-based engineering, and the digital thread
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and oversee multiple projects and meet associated deliverable deadlines within assigned budget
  • Possess a high-energy, self-motivated, innovative mindset with execution focus

Responsibilities

  • Lead/participate in physical part teardown, analysis, and cost modeling
  • Engage with leaders, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on teardown campaigns and associated projects
  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Perform various analyses to optimize systems and/or system architecture
  • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
