About The Position

As a full-time Team Supervisor you will supervise direct care staff while creating a stimulating, sensitive and normalized environment in the Day Habilitation Program Oversees development and implementation of Day Habilitation plans. Provides training to staff. Reviews documentation of service plan interventions and monthly notes. Documents other situations and contacts with other providers as needed. Participates in life plan meetings and completes related documentation. Purchases program supplies within budgetary guidelines and completes correlating requisitions. Relates to people supported in a sensitive and age appropriate manner. Assists people supported with personal, physical and emotional needs as necessary. Participates in building evacuation and fire drills and completes required documentation. Reviews/interviews job applicants and completes paperwork as needed for the hiring process. Administers and charts medications accurately and in accordance with medication administration guidelines and individual care plan. Performs related medication recordkeeping, acquisition, storage and medication counts.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field and one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, or High School Diploma (or GED) and two or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must possess a current, valid New York State Driver's License that meets Agency Driver standards
