Team Relations - Specialist

About The Position

Facilitates resolution of employee relations issues to achieve world class employee culture and morale. The incumbent will spend significant time on the production floor and be responsible for responding to employee issue quickly and effectively with the goal being to maintain a high level of employee morale.

Requirements

  • High School/GED (required)
  • 4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience in facilitation and/or instructional systems design
  • 1 – 5 years job related experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word/Excel
  • Basic understanding of windows explore file storage and retrieval
  • ADP
  • SAP
  • Must be willing to work different shifts as required.
  • Position may require domestic or international travel.
  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • OT required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the 5 HTGP Core Values and demonstrate effective application to all HTGP of those values.
  • Embody and demonstrate effective Core Values throughout all levels of HTGP Leadership.
  • Execute all Team Relations duties using our Core Values as a guiding principle.
  • Integrate the Core Values into all Team Relations activities
  • Correctly demonstrate and apply all HTGP safety standards while leading others in the same.
  • Work closely with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to uphold HTGP safety standards and hold the business accountable for doing the same.
  • Deliver results with exemplary quality and precision.
  • Adheres to all required IATF 16949 standards.
  • Effectively supports HTGP quality standards across the organization.
  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures.
  • Treat all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy.
  • Actively model the HTGP Leadership Values and leads others in doing the same.
  • Model, as a leader, the HTGP policies, procedures, attitude & performance necessary in a World Class organization.
  • Facilitates resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Collect and quickly respond to employee complaints / feedback.
  • Initiate and conduct timely investigations, prepare documentation and make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Clearly understand the needs of our employees and move quickly to either resolve the issue or communicate an answer.
  • Coordinate various employee communications.
  • Process and coordinate unemployment claims.
  • Assist Benefits in the LOA process as needed.
  • Facilitate company sponsored events (Open House, VIP visits, Employee lunches etc.).
  • Preparing various reports as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate with other sections of HR and the business to accomplish business plan.
  • Communicates critical issues (what, who, when, where) to Team Leader, Group Leader, Asst. Manager or Manager in a timely manner; cooperate in creating a positive work environment; gives input to achieve improvements with Leadership; works to meet unit/department goals; work with Leadership (as assigned) to develop and implement countermeasures to eliminate root cause and prevent problem recurrence; provide data as needed.
