About The Position

We're seeking a Team Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Optime Care, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for patients with complex, chronic conditions and rare diseases. This role offers the opportunity to provide clinical services and oversee prescription fulfillment while working alongside industry leaders in specialty pharmaceutical services. The position will “float” between clinically supporting the program and the patient advocates and overseeing prescription fulfillment based on the team’s needs. Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, preferably a Master's in Pharmacy degree or a PharmD.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of pharmacy.
  • A valid and current state license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • An active pharmacist’s license in other states is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Enter patient prescriptions, including prescription review for accuracy of medication and dosage for disease state, and resolving any discrepancies with the prescribing physician.
  • Verify picked prescription orders for accuracy and accurate labeling.
  • Inspect on-hand inventory for integrity, purity, and appropriate expiration dating.
  • Handle patient inquiries to counsel and resolve any medical concerns or questions.
  • Offer and provide drug counseling in accordance with OBRA standards.
  • Perform clinical monitoring activities in conjunction with other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct on-hand inventory and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the assigned pharmacy team.
  • Clean pharmacy and complete pharmacy logbooks.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practices and innovations in the field.
  • Participate appropriately in staff and management meetings and patient care conferences.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
