About the position
This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc. This means the independent franchisee, and not Jack in the Box Inc. will be your employer if you are hired. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment related matters in the restaurant including, among other things, setting any requirements for this job and all decisions concerning hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing and scheduling. The position is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by consistently providing excellent service, great tasting / quality food, and a clean restaurant environment for all guests by performing one or more workstations in accordance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and standards, and 20/20 guest expectations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant interior and exterior.
- Acknowledge and welcome guests promptly.
- Take and clarify guest orders accurately.
- Assemble and deliver orders to guests in a timely manner.
- Follow food safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet guest needs.
- Perform various duties in the front and back of the restaurant as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in guest service or food preparation is helpful.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of another language may be required based on location.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply).
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand and walk approximately 90%-95% of the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs.
