About The Position

The Team Member at Yoshinoya is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a unique dining experience for every guest. This role involves various service channels, including cooking, preparing, and serving food while adhering to health and safety standards. The Team Member must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficiency in both Front of House and Back of House operations.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler Card and Anti-Harassment Certification preferred.
• Previous guest service experience in the restaurant industry is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of cooking/preparing food in a professional setting.
• Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook food according to recipes and cooking specifications while following food safety guidelines.
• Operate cooking equipment such as fryers, griddles, and rice cookers, ensuring safety procedures are observed.
• Prepare food for cooking, including washing rice and transferring meat trays from the refrigerator.
• Maintain food temperature in compliance with health regulations.
• Ensure proper quality, presentation, and taste of dishes served to guests.
• Portion food for serving according to company procedures.
• Serve food while adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Clean the working area continuously, including kitchen equipment and floors.
• Assist with delivery and storage of food products and supplies.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Provide excellent guest service by taking accurate orders and following cash handling policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth operation.
