About The Position

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc. This means the independent franchisee, and not Jack in the Box Inc. will be your employer if you are hired. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment related matters in the restaurant including, among other things, setting any requirements for this job and all decisions concerning hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing and scheduling. The position is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by consistently providing excellent service, great tasting / quality food, and a clean restaurant environment for all guests by performing one or more workstations in accordance with Jack in the Box procedures, systems, and standards, and 20/20 guest expectations.

Requirements

• Experience in guest service or food preparation is helpful.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply).
• Ability to perform multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to stand and walk approximately 90%-95% of shift.
• Ability to lift and carry 15-25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service.
• Ensure food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant.
• Follow Jack in the Box procedures and standards.
• Acknowledge and welcome guests immediately.
• Take and clarify orders, assist guests with menu selection.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of work area.
• Assemble orders and ensure timely and accurate preparation.
• Communicate with team to ensure order accuracy.
• Follow food safety policies and procedures.
• Perform various duties in the front and back of the restaurant.
