The Receiving Clerk supports the operation by logging of all in-coming purchase orders and audits completed receiving paperwork to ensure accuracy. This role assists inventory to ensure that all stores are appropriately stocked for customers and observes incoming/outgoing merchandise for defects and damage. The Receiving Clerk will call vendors for packing lists and freight bills as necessary and maintain a comprehensive filing system for completed receiving packets. The role operates distribution computers systems as required to efficiently control merchandise flow, uses industrial motorized and non-motorized equipment to unload trailers, transport, select, stock, and load heavy/large merchandise as needed to assist Receiving team as well as perform all other duties as assigned by Coach.

  • Log all incoming purchase orders.
  • Audit completed receiving paperwork for accuracy.
  • Assist inventory to ensure stores are stocked for customers.
  • Observe incoming/outgoing merchandise for defects and damage.
  • Call vendors for packing lists and freight bills as necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing system for completed receiving packets.
  • Operate distribution computer systems to control merchandise flow.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Coach.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated track record of good attendance.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds; ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Post-secondary education in business, supply chain management, transportation or related field.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems.
  • Experience in distribution center operations.
  • Experience with software applications such as Excel, Access or data management system (Lowe’s DMS preferred).
  • Experience managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously requiring a strong ability to prioritize and manage time.
  • Previous power equipment experiences (e.g. Reach truck or RC).
