About The Position

Since 1956, Berns Garden Center and Landscaping has been delivering horticulture and landscaping services to the community in Southwest Ohio, with locations in Middletown and Beavercreek. The company prides itself on cultivating beautiful spaces and fostering meaningful connections with its customers, employees, and community. For the 2026 season, Berns Garden Center is seeking seasonal employees to support its annuals department at the Middletown Garden Center. The season for these roles will begin in March 2026 and end June 2026, and will include one weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service, greeting and assisting customers in the designated sales area and on the phone.
• Running the cash registers.
• Assists with the cleaning, sweeping and spraying down of the sales area.
• Knowledge of prices and sales for all items in the designated area.
• Assists with the placement of display equipment and materials that are required to meet seasonal needs.
• Knowledgeable of common plant pests and diseases and the controls available in the Garden Center.
• Assists other departments as needed
• Coordinates all landscape orders with the Team Leader
• Assumes any other responsibilities that the Team Leader or Department Manager may assign.
