About The Position

Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay is seeking hourly restaurant line cook team members for our location in University Parkway, Orem, Utah. As a line cook, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious, made-to- order food in a fast-paced, fast-casual restaurant environment, creating the “Ultimate Burger Experience” for our guests. Bobby Flay is an award-winning chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and media personality. He has opened numerous upscale restaurants in NYC, Las Vegas, and beyond. He has starred in dozens of Food Network programs, including “Iron Chef America,” “Beat Bobby Flay,” and many, many more. Chef Bobby Flay craves just one thing when he’s done working in the kitchens of his many fine dining restaurants. And it’s not what you might expect: It’s a burger. Requirements

Prior food handling experience (kitchen preparation and cooking) preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards. ServSafe certification is valued, but not required.
Great guest service skills.
Dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
Knowledge of units of measure and other basic math skills.
Ability to work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to ensure the preparation and presentation of products in accordance with company standards.
Ability to effectively communicate with team members and guests.
Ability to follow directions and procedures, has effective time management and organization skills.
Ability to maintain personal and uniform cleanliness and standards.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking for up to 8 hours.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to temperatures less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit and more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
High School Diploma or equivalent desired, but not required.
1+ years minimum work experience (cooking) in a restaurant or food service role is desired.

Nice To Haves

ServSafe certification is valued, but not required.
Culinary and/or some college is valued, but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepares food following the specifications, adhering to all quality standards.
Multitasks by cooking several different orders at once, ensuring that all items are prepared in accordance with guest requests.
Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, dishes, and utensils.
Ensures food safety by maintaining proper temperatures, handling, and storage.
Carries out opening and/or closing duties of assigned station(s).
Ensures equipment and workstation are adequately stocked, organized, and clean. Follows a “clean-as-you-go” philosophy.
