About The Position

Panera is seeking a Team Manager to be a key contributor to the success of their bakery-cafes. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring both customers and associates have a great experience. Team Managers are responsible for developing people, managing team performance, and fostering a warm, inclusive, and authentic Panera team culture. As part of the bakery-cafe's management team, the Team Manager reports directly to the General Manager or Operating Partner and oversees specific areas of the bakery-cafe, such as food cost management, drive-thru, delivery, or catering operations. Panera Bread operates over 2,000 bakery-cafes across the U.S. and Canada, offering handcrafted meals made with fresh artisan bread and a commitment to serving food free of items on their 'No No' List. The company also emphasizes community involvement, addressing hunger through initiatives like Panera Cares community cafes, day-end donations, and partnerships with local non-profit organizations.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to run great shifts
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must submit to a background check

  • 1+ year(s) of restaurant management experience preferred
  • ServSafe certification (or able to pass)

  • Train your team on food safety standards and ensure they are maintained.
  • Lead, manage, and develop your associates.
  • Hire and onboard new associates and provide ongoing training and development, including constructive feedback, as needed.
  • Keep your team energized and engaged.
  • Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements.
  • Oversee a different part of the bakery-cafe, from food cost management to drive-thru, delivery, or catering operations.
