Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.  Job PurposeProvide quality products to meet customer demand, production and scrap standards by communicating and directing/supervising production employees in completing company goals/objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Communication with team members (e.g. verbal communications of quality standards, safety standards, safe working environment, state of the business, policy and procedures, production goals. Objectives, floor specifications, etc.) Supervision of production Team Members (e.g. interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, discipline, training, documentation, counseling, coaching, promoting team work, motivating, supporting, implementing total productive maintenance (TPM), etc. ) Establishing work schedules (e.g. planned and unplanned absences, work on line as needed to cover, provide supplies, request materials, request support, input production information into MRP system, communicate with managers daily, etc.)  Prepare report summaries  Vendor and customer contact  Machine modifications (e.g. new product process, design, and development)  Coach, counsel and monitor employees work habits, personal habits and use of proper PPE to insure that employee’s blood lead levels are maintained below the action levels.  Completes other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, plus two years college coursework completed with one year of work experience in a lead or supervisory role (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Effective interpersonal skills, highly motivated, and efficient organizational and planning skills are required.
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English
  • High level of accuracy in basic math and use of 10 key calculator.
  • Ability to associate cause and effect relationships and determine patterns of activity in anticipation of change to the operation or personnel.
  • Ability to utilize as well as create effective Excel spreadsheets.
  • Use Word, Express Outlook, PowerPoint, FIS and Fourth Shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Some prior experience in presenting manufacturing data for managerial review.
