The Team Manager-Quality will lead Process and Quality engineering teams across production, staffing, procurement, and Quality of Final Department equipment. This role involves leading a high-performing cross-functional team of engineers and technicians, with a mission to bridge the gap between production, engineering, and the customer.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead Process and Quality engineering teams.
  • Ability to lead a high-performing cross-functional team of engineers and technicians.
  • Experience with the Quality Operating System (QOS).
  • Experience in managing departmental budgets (Labor and Overhead).
  • Expertise in conducting complex quality audits and ensuring adherence to ISO/IATF standards and corporate procedures.
  • Proficiency in advanced problem-solving methodologies (8D, 3L x 5Y, and Six Sigma).
  • Ability to analyze warranty trends and develop long-term engineering solutions.
  • Experience partnering with Supplier Technical Assistant (STA) teams for quality issues.
  • Experience in managing and developing Quality Engineers.
  • Proficiency in Kaizen projects and Lean principles (5S, VSM, Visual Management).
  • Expertise in standard Quality Tools.
  • Ability to support Six Sigma certification tracks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Process and Quality engineering teams in production, staffing, procurement, and Quality of Final Department equipment.
  • Lead a high-performing cross-functional team of engineers and technicians.
  • Bridge the gap between production, engineering, and the customer.
  • Lead the Quality Operating System (QOS) to achieve and exceed both internal performance metrics and external customer satisfaction goals.
  • Manage the Quality Department’s Labor and Overhead budget, identifying lean opportunities for cost improvement without compromising integrity.
  • Serve as the lead for complex quality audits, ensuring rigorous adherence to ISO/IATF standards and corporate procedures.
  • Spearhead the implementation of permanent corrective actions using advanced methodologies (8D, 3L x 5Y, and Six Sigma).
  • Analyze warranty trends to develop long-term engineering solutions.
  • Partner with the Supplier Technical Assistant (STA) team to drive containment and cost recovery for supplier-related quality issues at the "point of fit."
  • Manage and develop a diverse team of Quality Engineers, fostering a pipeline of technical talent.
  • Champion Kaizen projects and Lean principles (5S, VSM, Visual Management) to eliminate waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, coaching plant personnel on standard Quality Tools and supporting Six Sigma certification tracks.
