The Team Manager for AGI-DS at Amazon Data Services, Inc. is responsible for leading a team of approximately 25 Machine Learning Data Associates. This role focuses on managing ML data workflows, ensuring quality compliance, and driving process improvements.   • Executes plans for the team to perform tasks related to multiple ML workflows.
  • Ensures ML data workflows are quality compliant.
  • Analyzes ML data, SIM issues, and metrics, highlighting trends and gaps.
  • Provides status reports and identifies risks, ensuring escalations reach the right people.
  • Responsible for known SLAs and task completion targets for specific customers.
  • Works with internal and external teams to execute business goals.
  • Uses data to set and revisit operational goals and manage activities.
  • Manages escalation and complex tickets, analyzing data and reporting key metrics.
  • Presents data in business meetings and reviews.
  • Designs and implements process improvement projects that impact team performance.
  • Participates in new workflow rollout projects.
  • Coaches direct reports on demonstrating leadership principles.
  • Assigns challenging work to employees to develop them for larger roles.
  • Provides guidance on work types and prioritization.
  • Implements performance improvement plans for associates.
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback regarding quality, performance, behavior, and career development.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience managing high performing teams of up to 20-25 direct reports.
  • Strong proficiency in English across verbal, written, reading, and comprehension skills.
  • Experience with process improvement and quality control tools and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse talent and work cross-functionally.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in coaching and performance management.
  • Experience in managing process and operational escalations.
  • Familiarity with aspects of speech and language technology.
  • Demonstrated passion for delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Working knowledge of Machine Learning.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models.
  • Experience working in ambiguous roles.
