About The Position

BASIC FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, operates a variety of machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose equipment to machine metal work pieces to specification on a production basis. MAJOR DUTIES: Performs a variety of tasks on a variety of machines. Works from engineering drawings or rough sketches. Sets up own machining work. Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.

Requirements

• A thorough knowledge of machining techniques, materials, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is required
• Ability to read precision measuring tools is also required
• Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or specialized training
• Frequent bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required
• All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs
• The individual holding this position has a broad responsibility for carrying out the objectives of the Company including supporting all company policies, meeting goals, and working as a contributing team member

Nice To Haves

• Prior CNC or Manual Machine experience is preferred
