About The Position

We are currently seeking a Team Leader for our client. The Team Leader will act as points-of-contact with the Regional Supervisor and the client’s Regional Authority, manage the flow of day-to-day operations, and apply all policies and procedures while understanding all legal liabilities of this role and any related occupational and safety laws. The role requires compliance with safety regulations, identifying needs for safety training, completing initial safety and hazard assessments, and participating in accident investigations. The Team Leader will coordinate the Preventive Maintenance Plan and Corrective Maintenance Plan, ensure that the team operates safely and smoothly, provide motivation for team members to meet their goals, evaluate the quality of work of team members, mentor apprentices (Electronic Technicians), and create reports to update the Contractor Regional Supervisor and Regional Authority. Additionally, the Team Leader must complete the On Job Training (OJT) within twelve months of the Resource’s start date.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a college degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following fields: Industrial Technician, Communication Technician, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technician, Electrical Engineering Technology
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within the last 10 years maintaining at least 10 of the specified systems and/or sub-systems
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in the past 5 years managing a team of at least two persons directly reporting to you
  • Demonstrated experience working with commercial and personal computers and their peripherals
  • Demonstrated knowledge in basic computer operation hardware and their peripherals
  • Experience demonstrating clear conceptual thinking of complex technical situations
  • Demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to evaluate results against objectives
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to solve problems and interact with the Client Site effectively
  • Candidates must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Federal Government clearance at the enhanced reliability (level 1)

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certification (must complete within 6 months from start date)
  • Working at heights (Fall Arrest), First Aid, Confined Space and WHMIS certifications
