About The Position

In conjunction with the Production Manager, provide leadership and establish priorities for production team members to efficiently utilize both personnel and equipment while maintaining on-time product delivery, accurate reporting and ensuring a safe work environment first.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications

  • Ability to keep pace in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead and get results through others
  • Provide leadership to all team members for a successful day to day operation
  • Work closely with others to include coordinators, auditors, and assistants to include communicating between shifts
  • Ability to work effectively without supervision
  • Work with departments to assist in root-cause and countermeasure current issues
  • Ability to travel to customer or supplier locations as needed
  • Assist quality, management and maintenance when required
  • Understand, follow, and support JRM non-conformance, safety, 5S and quality protocols.
  • High School education or GED.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Works well in a close team environment
  • Ability to aid in problem solving
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing/Industrial setting
  • Good Communication skills
  • Able to lift or move 30lbs unassisted.
  • Able to lift or move 50lbs+ with aid.
  • Stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Computer/Walking/ Sitting/ Stairs in a Manufacturing / Warehouse facility
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse

Responsibilities

  • Monitor team member safety and ensure that the proper tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) are being utilized.
  • Balance safety, quality, morale, and productivity to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Ensure that quality finished goods are being built and shipped to our customers and that they meet the customer’s quality specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure team members are following established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the problem solving and continuous improvement processes.
  • Train new and existing team members in all processes in your area as established by JR and our customers.
  • Work overtime with little or no notice.
  • Effectively conduct and lead team meetings.
  • Implement and utilize methods of continuous improvement.
  • Be constructive in feedback and instructions.
  • Be fair, honest and positive with all team members.
  • Participate actively in Safety 8Ds & Quality 5p's.
  • Provide leadership to team and individual and establish action items for continuous improvement to individual and team for problem improvement.
  • Follow procedures as established with quality process.
  • Communicate courteously and work effectively with direct reports, peers, and management.
  • Additional tasks given by the Supervisor, Production, or Quality Manager.
  • Document data and information in all required forms.
  • Ensure Machine Operators are completing required documentation Destructs twice a shift, making sure all process sheets are filled out daily.
  • Startup checklist, In-Process Inspection Sheets, Feeder Logs, Destructs Sheets, Cell Interruption Logs, and making sure all product leaving is labeled correctly
  • Any new employee product must be sorted by Team Leader or assigned team member
  • Any product movement that needs done for any of the areas required
