About The Position

The Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A plays a vital role in ensuring a remarkable guest experience and smooth restaurant operations. This leader upholds Chick-fil-A's brand standards by modeling and reinforcing operational excellence, genuine hospitality, and a culture of care. Shift Leaders are responsible for executing daily tasks with excellence, coaching team members, and supporting the leadership team in achieving business goals. Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and personal accountability
  • Ability to lead and influence peers with confidence and humility
  • Must be able to work at least 25 hours per week, including evenings and Saturdays
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Lead front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations during assigned shifts
  • Ensure team executes Chick-fil-A's high standards for food safety, cleanliness, speed, and hospitality
  • Foster a positive, caring environment for both guests and team members
  • Provide real-time coaching, direction, and accountability to team members
  • Support training and onboarding of new hires
  • Execute opening, mid, or closing shift procedures with accuracy and urgency
  • Manage labor, food cost, and other shift metrics according to business needs
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and care
  • Communicate clearly with Directors and fellow leaders to ensure consistent execution of goals and systems
  • Champion Chick-fil-A's Core 4 and Second Mile Service behaviors at all times
  • Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
  • Offer immediate and respectful response to Guest's needs
  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Be a friendly, encouraging team player
  • Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
