About The Position

This 3rd Shift Aseptic Value Stream Team Lead role provides direct oversight and guidance to production floor colleagues involved in the manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceutical products. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
  • Experience in Packaging, Manufacturing, or Aseptic operations is required.
  • Proven ability to work across organizational levels and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to quickly learn and become proficient in key business systems, including production scheduling, quality deviation management, ERP systems, change control, and KRONOS.
  • May be required to work near moving mechanical equipment in a moderately noisy environment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing and eye protection, is mandatory.
  • Shift flexibility is required.
  • Colleague will work in a facility that manufactures Cephalosporins and must not be Cephalosporin sensitive.
  • Primary hours will be 10pm-6:30am but additional shift support will be required as this position will also offer leadership to our 2nd shift colleagues as well.
  • Off-shift calls, and weekend support may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely coaching and feedback to build team capability, recognize performance, and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Responsible for hiring, team morale, and applying the Zoetis progressive disciplinary process when necessary.
  • Lead a multi-shift/weekend operation, including availability for off-hour support.
  • Apply Lean principles to optimize scheduling, staffing, equipment reliability, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures, and role-specific training requirements.
  • Utilize CI tools to enhance leader standard work, schedule attainment, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, process confirmation, and escalation protocols.
  • Drive efficient execution of the production schedule with a strong emphasis on colleague safety and product quality.
  • Mentor and support the growth of current and future Production Coordinators.
  • Lead and manage team efforts to achieve short- and mid-term operational goals.
  • Inspire commitment and foster a shared sense of purpose.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional support teams to drive site-wide improvements and operational success.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
