About The Position
Plans, coordinates and directs the progress of surgical cases in a 12 Operating Room suite and 3 Minor Procedure room unit. Ensures the smooth operation and coordination with other units in the Surgical Division as well as other support units such as Lab, Blood Bank, and Radiology. Works with the members of the management team (Team Leaders, Department Directors and flow coordinator) to accomplish the safe delivery of patient care. Is able to work and effectively communicate with a variety of professionals such as Surgeons, CRNAs, Anesthesiologists, Operating Room Nurses, Surgical Technicians, Patient Care Technicians in directing the activities of the Operating Room. Supervises and evaluates the work performance of direct reports in accordance with established criteria based on standards of performance.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Four (4) years or more of Operating Room experience including at least one in a Pediatric Setting or, a BSN with at least 2 years of Operating Room Nursing experience, at least one in a Pediatric setting.D
- Current RN License in the State of Alabama
- BCLS Certification
