About The Position

Smoky Mountain Children’s Home is a faith-based non-profit that has spent over 100 years dedicated to supporting and caring for at-risk youth. We believe our quality of care is only as good as our people. We are looking for a visionary, organized, and seasoned Team Leader to provide clinical and administrative oversight to our Case Managers, ensuring the highest standard of treatment planning and service delivery for the children we serve! In this role, you aren’t just a supervisor; you are a mentor, a crisis navigator, and a clinical anchor for the staff who support our youth.

Requirements

  • Education: A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, education, or a related behavioral field from a regionally accredited university/college is required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a case worker in child welfare is required.
  • Leadership: Proven organizational aptitude and the ability to lead a small team (3-4 Case Managers) while working collaboratively within the Residential Services department.
  • Growth Aptitude: Willingness to complete certifications in CPR/First Aid, TCI, TFTC, and extensive training in trauma-informed care.
  • Stability & Integrity: Must possess the physical and emotional stability to carry out duties and pass an extensive background check.
  • Availability: Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (once every 6 weeks) for weekends and remain available by cell phone for weekday emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Case Oversight & Consultation: Provide informed consultation and supervise service delivery. Ensure family integration and help Case Managers navigate collaboration with all case members.
  • Clinical Model Fidelity: Implement a trauma-informed model across all services and supervision. Utilize TF-CBT, DBT, and Parent Management Training skills alongside the TFTC model.
  • Team Supervision: Lead weekly treatment team meetings and case consultations. Coordinate closely with the Residential Director to ensure seamless campus operations and training.
  • Clinical Documentation Compliance: Ensure all Case Managers' case notes, monthly summaries, treatment plans, assessments, intakes, and safety plans meet strict daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly documentation intervals.
  • Service Delivery: Participate in necessary meetings, provide direct coaching for parents, and deliver family interventions for young people as needed. Monitor safety and therapeutic services in the campus program with the Residential Director.
