Are you with us?!? We are seeking a Team Leader for our Pulp Mill to join our Mosinee, WI team! Team Leader is responsible for employee safety, environmental compliance, quality, production, human development, and achieving cost goals in all areas of the Pulp Mill which includes the Woodyard, Pulp Mill, F&B, Wetroom, Causticizing, Power, Hydro Plant, Recovery, and WWTP areas. This position will lead team members to ensure department goals are met through a high level of employee accountability. The Team Leader will monitor upcoming events (production and maintenance), anticipate potential issues and initiate corrective actions as necessary to achieve those goals. This position will also be responsible for the training and development of new employees, as well as the ongoing development of current employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a pulp/paper manufacturing or power generation facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer bachelor's degree or equivalent level of industry experience.
  • Union experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and ensure a clean, neat, and organized workplace following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and BRCGS Policies
  • Ensure all areas remain in compliance with our air and water permits. No S10 and recovery boiler opacity exceedances, No CO, HCL or SO2 exceedances, No or limited NCG venting, Optimal scrubber system performance per our air permit for RB Dissolving tank scrubber, Lime Kiln Scrubber, and Slaker scrubber.
  • Work with Day Coordinator to coordinate weekly maintenance work with crews to ensure craftsmen maximize time on tools with little to no waiting time.
  • Help plan, coordinate and execute shutdowns and lockouts for repair work.
  • Research, write, and follow up on maintenance work requests to support area managers
  • Lead 6:45 am and 7pm shift meeting on Teams for Ops/Maintenance coordination
  • Work with all team members to achieve the highest performance possible through coaching, caring, and accountability
  • Understand all the tools to check operations, correct operator errors and check efficiency (Proficy, PARCview, JDE, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Participate in all maintenance outages for all the areas (boilers, turbines, alkali, fiberline, woodyard, recovery and evaporators)
  • Continually spend time in each area to gain a more thorough understanding of the production processes and environment (multiple demands, shifting priorities)
