We are looking for a Tame Lead, Production for 3rd shift, Sun-Thurs,11-7. Interested in a career with a top ranked and growing snack company, to join our Production team at PIM’s Somerset site in New Jersey. This role leads a team of about 50 production associates on a shift within the Moguls and Fruit Roll/Panning operations. The supervisor is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, cost control, sanitation, maintenance coordination, and people development. This person drives daily performance, leads continuous improvement, ensures food safety compliance, and builds a strong, engaged team through coaching, training, and hiring.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing (food or confectionery preferred).
  • Strong communication; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High urgency, integrity, and a hands-on leadership style.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, pushing and pulling.
  • Must be able to closely examine equipment, machinery and parts.
  • Must have dexterity necessary to work with tools and small parts.
  • Able to lift at least 50lbs.

  • Physically capable to do heavy labor work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams; ensure strong communication and engagement.
  • Ensure food safety, GMP, HACCP, and company standards are consistently followed.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to meet production goals.
  • Coordinate with HR, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Sanitation, Logistics, and Planning.
  • Conduct safety/quality audits; resolve issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage performance, employee relations, attendance, training, and cross-training.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and adjust schedules when needed.
  • Maintain accurate reporting for production, inventory, and equipment performance.
