About The Position

The Team Leader, Plant Operations is responsible for overseeing shift operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accountability for business unit results, and driving continuous improvement. This role involves managing people, equipment, and processes to produce high-quality products while fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence. The Team Leader will also focus on developing team capabilities and implementing reliability tools to enhance performance.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 1.5+ years of Maintenance, Operations, or Production experience within a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of Maintenance or Operations experience within food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear direction and priorities for the shift aligned with the business unit.
  • Manage direct and indirect labor efficiently.
  • Track and gap results vs work plan and budget for all KPIs including safety and quality.
  • Develop Service leaders and other leadership.
  • Provide training, coaching, and facilitation.
  • Manage the Safety system within their area.
  • Coach and lead the team on execution of daily management systems such as DDS, CL, RCFA, and Operational Standards documentation.
  • Improve and sustain assessment scores for DDS, CL, 5S processes.
  • Ensure Operational Standards are executed with excellence.
  • Work with Maintenance Lead, Engineering, and others to ensure follow-up on significant issues captured in RCFA.
  • Lead the shift team meeting.
  • Communicate team/shift results and needs to the business unit manager.
