Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Material Sciences required
  • Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
  • materials management/inventory experience 3-5 years required

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
  • Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and coordinates material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
  • Utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Negotiates lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
  • May interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for export/import control certifications and licenses.
