What You'll Do: Coordinate the required Logistics functions (rail car billing, ordering/release, scheduling trucks, reviewing and validating truck Bills-of-Lading) for shipments in accordance with Nutrien’s operational and marketing plans and in an effective and timely manner. Identify, address, and resolve challenges as required, while escalating those as necessary and appropriate. Logistics contact point for Production, Customer Service, Terminals, and Truck & Rail Analysts to coordinate manpower, loading systems, railcars availability and maintenance to efficiently manage and prioritize all the shipments through the Augusta Nutrien Facility. Interface closely with the US Rail Analyst teams to coordinate railcar needs required to meet shipping plans and goals. This will include, but is not limited to spotting cars, loading and unloading cars, coupling and uncoupling cars. Daily coordination with truck/railways for service plans/needs/changes Participate in daily operational meetings with Department Management, Sales, and carrier personnel where operational challenges will be identified and addressed. Develop product inventory and daily production continuities to ensure alignment between forecasted demand and forecasted production and to aid in development of shipping schedule. Issue safe work permits and communicate/create a safe working area vision to both employees and contractors. Create/Implement/adhere to GMP’s (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping activities. Coordinate with the Quality department to resolve customer issues and timely delivery of samples to the lab. Serve as a liaison between shipping and the maintenance team to make sure work orders are entered and prioritized as needed. Assist the Scalehouse team to resolve issues with Truck drivers with regards to both solution and dry product loading. Manage the dissolve pit operation to ensure we produce quality solutions to send back to the production areas.
