About The Position

Team Leader (Machining) - 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm) Summary/Purpose Provide leadership to their team to ensure Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery. Essential Duties and Accountabilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Provide leadership to the department Lead improvement activities for quality, delivery, safety and cost Assure quality, production, safety/environmental standards, 5S are met Schedule manpower and relieve operator when needed Conduct meetings as necessary Record daily information, such as, time and attendance Assist in identifying training and development needs for department team Support company policy and administer fairly and consistently Investigate, solve and report on product or process problems Assist in preparing departmental procedures/processes May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to use problem solving approaches
  • Prior machining experience
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and ergonomics
  • Excellence in attendance and verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Knowledge of various inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of quality systems, gauging and close tolerance measurement
  • Conduct team member evaluations
  • Able to learn to operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, ISO 14001 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity.
  • Able to perform in a team environment
  • Support company policy
  • Ability to work overtime and any shift as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
