Facilitate daily operations in the manufacturing plant center by ensuring associates adhere to safety, quality and performance standards. Troubleshoot issues on manual line, set up jobs, observe and coach performance of associates. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (completed)
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/operation floor setting
  • Experienced level in job function
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient in WMS and Agile
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, professionalism, accountability, communication, and positive attitude
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated structured problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts, 5S, and Continuous Improvement practices

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and model safe work practices.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve safety.
  • Complete layered process audits and other quality documentation, as required.
  • Complete daily 5S audit and ensure work center(s) adheres to all 5S standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through Tier 1 meetings, effective communication, and develop an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.
  • Manage work center inventory using WMS 2018 through order allocation, directed work and scrap processes.
  • Work with the Technician to troubleshoot & repair downtime occurrences and escalate unplanned or higher-level downtime, as needed.
  • Assist Supervisor with safety investigations and reports.
  • Communicate incidents to appropriate level as needed.
  • Assist Supervisor with onboarding new associates.
  • Provide training opportunities and work with Trainer to ensure training records are completed and properly retained.
  • Record daily production and downtime data through company software.
  • Respond to associate questions and concerns, escalating to supervisor or HR when required.
  • Model excellence and success to guide team members.
  • Raise issues promptly to Supervisor for guidance & resolution, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate employee timekeeping records via HRIS platform.
  • Coordinate the overall assignment of work within respective value stream with the supervisor and other team leaders to attain business needs.
  • Basic understanding of SQDC concepts and ability to explain the concepts & results to the assembly teams.
  • Team Lead I capable of supporting Team Lead II or III in running a work center.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
