About The Position

The Team Leader position at Henderson Behavioral Health involves overseeing and managing a multidisciplinary team providing behavioral health services in Broward and Palm Beach counties. This role includes making clinical decisions, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services in accordance with Florida's Mental Health Act. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience working with adults with severe mental illnesses or co-occurring disorders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Behavioral Health Science or related field.
• Licensed in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses or co-occurring disorders.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in addiction counseling.
• Experience working with families of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and management of administrative tasks.
• Make clinical decisions related to patient care.
• Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary staff in the provision of behavioral health services.
• Ensure compliance with Florida's Mental Health Act (The Baker Act).
• Conduct crisis intervention and family intervention as needed.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and resources.
