About The Position

The Production Team Leader plays a critical role in supporting daily operations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement on the production floor. Acting as a working leader, this role is responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing day-to-day guidance to team members. The Production Team Leader models Delta Faucet Company’s core values by setting expectations, communicating clearly, and maintaining a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics. This position requires a hands-on, people-focused leader who can drive performance while developing team capabilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalence
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
  • Prior leadership or lead-person experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, organization, and accountability
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and production tracking systems
  • Must be able to lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to work daily overtime and weekend support as dictated by production schedule

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in safety, quality, attendance, and work ethic
  • Communicate daily goals, changes, and expectations to team members
  • Foster collaboration between shifts and departments
  • Support conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment
  • Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE usage
  • Conduct daily safety checks and report or address hazards
  • Participate in daily safety discussions and promote a proactive safety culture
  • Ensure production cells meet daily throughput and quality targets
  • Respond to and escalate production disruptions such as absenteeism, equipment issues, or material shortages
  • Maintain readiness of workstations by coordinating tooling, materials, and resources
  • Adjust labor assignments to optimize staffing levels
  • Perform regular quality checks and address issues in real-time
  • Follow escalation procedures, including the Quality Hold process, when needed
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring problems
  • Lead by enforcing adherence to Standardized Work
  • Encourage team member involvement in process improvement
  • Support Kaizen events and problem-solving workshops
  • Assist in identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements
  • Train and cross-train new and existing employees
  • Provide performance feedback and recommend corrective actions when needed
  • Support team engagement and recognition efforts
  • Lead or participate in pre-shift GEMBA walks and Tier 1 huddles
  • Provide shift-level updates and contribute to Tier 2 discussions as required
  • Track and communicate SQDC metrics and corrective actions
  • Execute and sustain daily Leader Standard Work (LSW) tasks including visual checks, standard audits, and escalation protocols
