About The Position

A Team Lead position performs a variety of tasks in the warehouse, including maintaining a high level of productivity by monitoring, assisting, and training personnel. Works with resources to perform daily inspections for product quality and line equipment in the La Vergne, TN distribution center. With 30 years of experience in the wireless industry, Superior Communications has become the nation's largest manufacturer and distributor of wireless accessories with the broadest product offerings and services for all channels of distribution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or GED
  • Valid driver's license; satisfactory completion of Superior's forklift training program
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Self-confidence to lead
  • Able to prioritize effectively; able to follow instructions and be a quick learner
  • Good collaboration skills with both internal and external customers; ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year of previous supply chain experience preferred
  • 1-year of previous team leader experience preferred
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferred
  • Computer proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Organizing team members, assigning picking tickets; ensuring pick ticket is the correct product, has correct packaging materials and labels
  • Reporting damaged items; ensuring replacement of inventory
  • Ensuring packed cartons are sealed and labeled appropriately with accompanying documentation
  • Solving order issues, e.g. mixed orders, tracking information, lost packages
  • Working with Production Scheduling to set up the daily production schedule
  • Working with Shipping on the outbound shipping schedule
  • Leading and supporting other Team Leaders as necessary
  • Processing the company's "Employee Company Store" purchases
  • Process 3PL parcels
  • Ensure labels are printed daily and placed in bins for pick-up
  • Maintain the printers in the label area, e.g. change print cartridges, clean, load labels, etc.
  • Drive to meet internal/external Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics
