Requirements

  • 1-2 Years manufacturing experience required
  • Machine operation experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting standardized work observations with operators regularly and assisting in the preparation of standardized work documents.
  • Responsible for quality & conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing IATF16949 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to Supervisor, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering representative
  • Lead fellow team members in meeting or exceeding customer requirements
  • Checks that all pre-production safety, quality and productivity checks are completed by Team Members or next level up.
  • Respond immediately to Team Members' call for help (Andon) with the main goal of assisting the Team Member to overcome the problem
  • Fill in temporarily for Team Members who are absent
  • Escalate safety, quality, and productivity issues according to the defined escalation process and perform Layered Process Audits (LPA)
  • Review of previous shift information regarding safety, quality, and productivity issues
  • Make work assignment adjustments based on absenteeism, training, and help to control overtime
  • Walk the production area to confirm 5S, equipment readiness, and material supply conditions are to standard, and participate in pre-shift Team Member Tier 1 meeting
  • Prepare safety, quality, and productivity communication information for the next shift and verify that 5S, equipment readiness, and material supply conditions meet the standard at the end of the shift.
  • Team Leaders review hour-by-hour performance and take action to solve problems that impact performance, report out performance to Supervisors
  • Help EBM to meet or exceed Mafact (Magna Factory Concept) standards of operation
  • Complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts as needed
  • Ensure weld/destruct testing is performed data is recorded
  • Perform basic machine maintenance
  • 100% visual inspection & packaging of product
  • Tagging and labeling per the work instructions
  • Safely operate forklift to move materials and finished goods
  • Enforce company policies as outlined in employee handbook
  • Create and implement Continuous Improvement suggestions
  • Work to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
  • Help to control overtime
  • Train team members in all areas including safety, quality, standardized work and productivity – Per TWI JI Methodology
  • Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
