Requirements

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production related work
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, salt, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Able to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Able to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

Nice To Haves

  • Computer operation skills to perform data entry for label production and monitoring of inventory and shipment completion; warehouse/shipping software, SAP software, or inventory management software
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (e.g., packaging machinery).
  • Actively demonstrate safety leadership
  • High school diploma or GED or a minimum of two years of experience in production-related work

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • 50% of time performing the same work as persons supervised
  • Manage and promote safety, food safety, quality processes, and housekeeping
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees and contractors and provide continuous training for existing employees through daily shift exchange meetings and safety trainings
  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment at site, including but not limited to bagging machines, shipping computers, and motorized vehicles
  • Be the point person for management initiatives, work orders, and communication
