1st Shift Team Lead - TX

Built as a family business, Nordic Cold Chain Solutions partners with each of its clients to create custom solutions that meet and exceed expectations for temperature-controlled packaging and manufacturing. Nordic Cold Chain Solutions has an opening in our Farmers Branch, TX manufacturing plant for a 2nd shift Lead. We are looking for a dependable and self-motivated individual, who has some prior supervision skills in a team lead type position. Previous manufacturing or production environment experience is preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education (GED)
- Ability to read, understand and write data in English
- Maintain good attendance record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be reliable and punctual is a must
- 2+ years of previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs., to stand, walk, twist and turn frequently
Nice To Haves
- Experience with fill line or packaging equipment preferred
- Previous machine operating experience in the packaging industry a plus
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
Responsibilities
- Accurately setup machines and verify equipment is ready to start and complete the production cycle
- Monitor equipment and make adjustments, as necessary, for proper operations
- Operate equipment efficiently to meet daily production requirements and company efficiency goals
- Perform quality checks and maintain accurate and timely records to verify products are being manufactured to customer and company standards
- Oversee a section of 4-6 machines and ensure packers have tools they need to perform their job, including, but not limited to, breaks, lunches, tools, and PPE
- May be required to do simple machine maintenance and repairs
- Maintain housekeeping standards, daily cleaning of machines and orderly production area
- Complete work order paperwork neatly and accurately
- Other duties as needed
