If that sounds like you, our Harborcreek store is looking for a Team Lead who’s ready to step up, support a team, and help create an upbeat, well-run store customers love to shop. Position Objective: The Team Lead supports daily store operations by providing leadership to retail associates and ensuring excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, and an organized sales floor. This position assists in driving sales performance and operational efficiency while maintaining a positive, mission-driven environment. Acts as the manager-on-duty in the absence of store management.

Requirements

  • Alignment with Mission, Culture, and continuous improvement
  • 2–3 years of retail experience, including some leadership or key holder responsibilities
  • Above-average communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and customer service focus
  • Basic to intermediate digital literacy (POS systems, scheduling software, email, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide world-class customer service, ensuring every shopper and donor has a positive experience.
  • Lead by example in promoting the Goodwill mission and encouraging customers to “Give at the Register.”
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring proper security, cash handling, and completion of daily reports.
  • Supervise and support retail associates during assigned shifts, ensuring work is completed efficiently and in compliance with policies.
  • Coach team members in proper merchandising, rotation, and presentation of goods following the One Touch Method.
  • Assist with training new employees and reinforcing performance expectations.
  • Monitor sales floor and backroom for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Partner with store leadership to identify opportunities for improving sales, donation flow, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support loss prevention and risk management efforts by maintaining awareness of surroundings and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Perform cash register functions, including processing transactions, handling donations, and preparing deposits as assigned.
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by Goodwill.
