About The Position

The purpose of the Team Leader is to manage the day-to-day production activities during the shift. The incumbent has the responsibility for producing quality products, meeting production schedule and standards as well as ensure that shift employees have required safety and skills training.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all lines are running to standard.
  • Ensure all set-ups are installed 100 % accurate
  • Perform on-the-job training.
  • Promote and explain safety and safety rules.
  • Provide training for new full-time and temporary employees
  • Complete and maintain documentation on training, safety, attendance, production and staffing.
  • Conduct proper team meetings.
  • Communicate with other team leaders.
  • Communicate with department managers.
  • Attend required company activities.
  • Interview new hires.
  • Operate fork lift as necessary
  • Provide feedback to employees regarding attendance, quality of work, and overall team support.
  • Explain significance of and promote a work environment of fairness, respect, and accountability.
  • Demonstrate staffing techniques to maximize available manpower or plan appropriately to accommodate staffing shortages.
  • Communicate effectively with other team leaders to ensure all plant resources (human and technical) are utilized to achieve plant goals.
  • Explain and demonstrate proper techniques for maintaining employee records
