About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. Assists the supervisor to ensure the department meets goals and objectives for safety, quality, and productivity. Leads in a professional manner with a positive outlook. Knows and supports cell goals and objectives. Assigns people to jobs. Effectively conducts cell communication meetings. Effectively answers questions pertaining to cell performance. Completes 5s Audit on time. Ensures cell communication boards are updated in a timely manner. Effectively works with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of product. Ensures those around them follow work instructions. Knows policies and procedures (safety included) or can find answer. Drives associate suggestions for continuous improvement within the department. Works with supervisor to ensure work area meets 5s standards (corrects 5s deficiencies; Including ensuring employees are recycling). Works with supervisor to ensure cross-training is happening to meet goals. Works with supervisors to ensure associates are properly trained (uses the process training). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • knowledge of AS400 Manufacturing software
