About The Position

The Team Lead supports our Atlanta-based operations by providing strong leadership, team management, and operational oversight. Working closely with the Regional Practice Leader, the Team Lead ensures key performance indicators, regional goals and objectives are being closely monitored and achieved. Role and Responsibilities People Leadership & Employee Support Serve as the primary people manager for engineers, consultants, and designers. Conduct regular check-ins, annual performance reviews, and support the development of individual growth and development plans. Partner with leadership and HR on performance management, employee relations matters, and engagement initiatives. Support office growth by assisting with interviews, the onboarding of new hires, and act as a resource for employee questions related to policies, processes, and day-to-day needs. Communicate expectations clearly and ensure follow-through on deadlines and deliverables. Project & Operational Support Oversee and ensure timely completion and approval of employee timesheets and expense reports. Review and manage expense submissions related to project travel, site visits, and client meetings. Monitor attendance, availability, and on-time issues in coordination with project schedules and client deliverables. Support coordination of project workloads by partnering with engineering leadership and project managers. Identify opportunities to improve workflows that support efficient project execution and staff utilization. Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in the fire protection engineering field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and influence others.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfort learning internal systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a professional service, engineering, consulting, or technical services environment
  • Familiarity with HR processes such as performance reviews, development planning, and employee engagement
  • Experience overseeing administrative processes such as timesheets, expenses, or scheduling.
  • Experience working in a growing or multi-office organization
