About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. Assists the supervisor to ensure the department meets goals and objectives for safety, quality, and productivity. Leads in a professional manner with a positive outlook. Knows and supports cell goals and objectives. Assigns people to jobs. Effectively conducts cell communication meetings. Effectively answers questions pertaining to cell performance. Completes 5s Audit on time. Ensures cell communication boards are updated in a timely manner. Effectively works with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of product. Ensures those around them follow work instructions. Knows policies and procedures (safety included) or can find answer. Drives associate suggestions for continuous improvement within the department. Works with supervisor to ensure work area meets 5s standards (corrects 5s deficiencies; Including ensuring employees are recycling). Works with supervisor to ensure cross-training is happening to meet goals. Works with supervisors to ensure associates are properly trained (uses the process training). Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AS400 Manufacturing software.
