The position reports to the Assistant Manager of Warehouse Operations as well as the General Manager and will have direct oversight of the warehouse team, ensuring operations are run safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while exceeding lodge management expectations at this high-volume ski area.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management/supervisory experience in a high-volume warehouse, logistics, or transportation environment.
  • Ability to gain Non-CDL DOT medical card to operate company vehicles.
  • Intermediate or better computer skills; working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Exceptional communication skills, guest service, and team-building abilities.
  • CA state food handler's permit.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to ride aerial trams and other lifts as needed to get to and from the job site.
  • Must be able to attend work in harsh winter environments.
  • Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs.
  • Must be available holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates efforts of all warehouse employees; assures adequate staffing and supervision.
  • Assures completion of necessary paperwork as needed on a daily basis: Daily Delivery Plan, End-of-Shift Night Reports, Facility Check List, Safety Meetings.
  • Constantly lead the search for innovation and change, and implement these changes to exceed our company goals.
  • Overall warehouse cleanliness, and snow removal as needed.
  • Inspect quality of food product received at the warehouse.
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels of all products according to business levels.
  • Ability to attend work in harsh weather environments.
  • Ability to hold staff accountable to Vail Resorts, Inc. policies, procedures, and performance standards, and de-escalate situations as they arise.
  • Maintain a safe environment and keep location compliant with all health and safety requirements.
  • We are a company that works together; throughout the season, you may be required to assist other departments as needed.
  • Receive product from retailers; notify management of any shortages.
  • Build and wrap pallets for delivery.
  • Load products in trucks, trams, and haul cats while maintaining safety at all times.
  • Remove and dispose of trash/recycling and compost from multiple locations while upholding our commitment to zero waste expectations.
  • Drive pickup trucks, dually trucks, box trucks, snowmobiles, tracked UTVs, snow cats, forklifts, and pallet jacks in harsh winter conditions.
  • Ability to communicate with other stakeholders/departments to effectively execute plans for delivery and safety.
