The Training Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Training Supervisor(s) or Training Manager(s) in achieving business goals through training, quality, and productivity by performing leadership and administrative duties along with leading the execution of training coordinator tasks.

  • Provides leadership and mentoring to team while maintaining management directives.
  • Actively displays managerial courage by proactively addressing issues and conflicts; takes ownership for the team and their performance.
  • Actively manages the team for training activities such as facilitation, TQs, ADP evaluations, etc.
  • Conduct performance audits and calibration of training coordinators activities.
  • Schedule and lead supervisor-training team meetings; captures meeting minutes and distribute notes and action items to attendees.
  • Leads new employee orientation; motivates and encourages new hires and existing associates to improve employee retention.
  • Acts as a liaison between the trainees, training coordinators, and management staff to resolve training issues.
  • Ensures daily/weekly tasks and goals are completed on-time by the training coordinators.
  • Drives timely completion by following up with training coordinators and escalating obstacles to training supervisor(s) and training manager(s).
  • Solicits leadership for feedback on missed opportunities and successes.
  • Maintains, audits, and corrects training files, databases, training equipment inventory and reports.
  • Makes requests for training supply orders and refills supplies from the stockroom.
  • Tracks and updates training revisions using work instructions.
  • Co-leads training development and instructional design projects with training supervisor(s) and manager(s).
  • Coaches and engages associates during OJT.
  • Advises production supervisors and managers on the training schedule and associate progression.
  • Makes recommendations for cross-training and associate promotions.
  • Provides timely feedback to operations team including supervisor(s) and manager(s) based on task completion and training standards.
  • Works effectively with other departments that support the training and manufacturing process.
  • Supports, follows and observes all safety requirements and provides immediate feedback to team and associates when necessary.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years related experience-training, facilitation, instructional design or learning management systems
  • Competent computer skills-Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Associates Degree
