Hiring for our seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted until December 15th or until the positions are filled (whichever is first). The Snow Safety Team Lead will be responsible for assisting the Snow Safety Supervisor to create and implement each day's operational goals with the avalanche hazard mitigation program for Crested Butte Mountain Resort; as well as assisting with/coordinating daily weather forecasting and documentation related to snow safety. The Snow Safety team lead will work with the Snow Safety Supervisor and Patrol Managers to ensure complete compliance with federal and state agencies regarding explosives licensing, purchase, storage, handling and training. The Snow Safety Team Lead will assist with managing the boot packing program. The Team Lead will assist with implementing our Snow Safety training program, ensuring team members are appropriately trained and prepared to take on assigned Snow Safety tasks, and ensuring the Crested Butte Snow Safety program is aligned with the best practices within Vail Resorts and the broader industry.
