Essential Functions: Guides team members in the execution of duties and responsibilities according to established protocols and procedures. Trains and mentors new and current team members in areas of policies, procedures, problem solving and decision making. Follows up with team members through shift at each location regarding daily activities, incidents, and employee inquiries. Oversees escalated and emergency situations at designated campus; contacts emergency serves as necessary. Serves as designated leader in the absences of supervisor for inquires, escalated matters, team schedule maintenance, etc. Monitor facility and surrounding areas to guard against suspicious activities. Patrols building and grounds by foot and vehicle to protect establishment against potential threats. Inspects and adjusts security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering. Ensures team member understands and adheres to patrol schedules. Fulfills front desk duties during off-hours such as responding to phone calls, assisting customers, responding to incoming inquires, contacting employees and managers, vendor assistance, relaying information to appropriate parties, etc. Contact’s authorities (e.g., police, fire departments, etc.) in cases of emergency or threats such as fire, medical emergency, unwelcomed violators, suspicious activities, etc. Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and others to maintain security of premises. Rejects, apprehends or evicts violators from premises if deemed necessary. Escorts personnel to their car and/or department as requested by management and or Human Resources. Examines and all entry points such doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Addresses violations, infractions, property damage, suspicious activity, threats, potential hazard, disturbances, and any other irregular activity. Responds to and investigate alarms and disturbances, addressing or escalating accordingly. Completes incident reports for irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Relay escalated incidents to appropriate department to end handle such as Management, Facilities, Operations, or Human Resources. Escalates all employee relations issues to Supervisor and Human resources in a timely manner.
