About The Position

Amenities/ Recreation Lead Full Time Seasonal Location: Pocono Mountain Villas Job Summary: The amenities Lead will assist the Amenities Manager with operations of the Recreation, Activities, and Tubing, and Golf Course. Organize, lead and promote interest in recreational activities, arts, crafts, and games. Assist with all resort-sponsored guest activities at various locations, including Activity Central, Valley Station, Pocono Hills Golf Course, and Blue Lightning Tubing. While actively assessing the needs at all venues and planning accordingly for the day's events.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent experience required
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be energetic and highly motivated
  • Must possess strong communication skills
  • Lifting and repositioning park equipment as needed
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and heat

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience with recreation or activities is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Recreation/Activities to include all resort-sponsored guest activities at various locations at PMV to ensure the total satisfaction of our guests and owners.
  • Prepare monthly activity program for guests and owners to enjoy, including kids crafts, socials at Activity Central.
  • Ensure the department meets budgetary expectations, including revenue production and expense control.
  • Coordinate Activities and organize special events for owners and guests, such as holidays and other special celebrations.
  • Ensure proper staffing in relevant departments.
  • Assist with the orient and train new team members and ensure proper policies are followed daily.
  • Emphasize safety training for all respective employees.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all parks
  • Perform administrative functions associated with day-to-day Recreation operations, and inventory management
  • Follow all accounting procedures set forth by the company in the use of department bank, and guest transactions
  • Petty cash receipts- process all receipts in a timely manner and send for approvals
  • Implement revenue-generating programs to meet department budget and goals
  • Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed on all necessary equipment on a routine schedule
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to achieve One Team concept
