About The Position

The Team Lead position in the quality department performs a variety of tasks in the warehouse, including maintaining a high level of productivity by monitoring, assisting, and training personnel. Works with resources to perform daily inspections for product quality and line equipment in the La Vergne, TN distribution center. Weekend Shift: Friday through Sunday 7:00am - 7:30pm (12 hour shifts) With 30 years of experience in the wireless industry, Superior Communications has become the nation's largest manufacturer and distributor of wireless accessories with the broadest product offerings and services for all channels of distribution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or GED
  • Valid driver’s license; satisfactory completion of Superior’s forklift training program (stand-up/stock picker)
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Self-confidence to lead
  • Able to prioritize effectively; able to follow instructions and be a quick learner
  • Good collaboration skills with both internal and external customers; able to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year of previous supply chain experience, preferred
  • 1-year of previous team leader experience, preferred
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferred
  • Computer proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Organizing team members
  • Solving order issues associated with Holds, NCMR, FAs and Customer/ Vendor Orders
  • Monitoring, updating, and maintenance of applicable QA logs, records and other relevant documentation regarding QA inspection activities, findings, or issues
  • Assist in the development of standardized work procedures
  • Auditing product, processes, and information for accuracy against existing specifications/ requirements and recommending changes to Superior documentation based on audit findings
  • Leading and supporting other Team Leaders as necessary
  • Recording and reporting discrepancies found
  • Resolving product and/or assembly issues
  • Supporting the follow-through of discrepancies to find root cause
  • Supporting the Non-Conforming Materials Report (NCMR) process
  • Supporting the First Article (FA) process
  • Providing support for all activities in the QA department
  • Provide weekly update to Quality manager: Attendance, Training requirements, Accomplishments, and Issues
  • Drive to meet internal/external Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics
