About The Position

The Team Lead Open Systems position at S2Tech involves leading and mentoring a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions, particularly in the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) and Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) domain. The role requires a strong technical background in modern development frameworks and tools, including Java, JSF, Struts or Spring, and cloud technologies, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a team lead or similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of MMIS/MES systems and prior Medicaid-related project experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Java, JSF, Struts or Spring, SOAP, and REST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with ReactJS, MuleSoft, FileNet, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and best practices
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or MuleSoft are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor a team of developers to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide technical direction, resolve technical challenges, and foster an environment of continuous learning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and project managers
  • Architect, design, develop, and deploy applications using Java, JSF, Struts/Spring, ReactJS, and MuleSoft
  • Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP-based APIs for system integrations
  • Leverage cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for application hosting and scalability
  • Integrate document management solutions using FileNet
  • Ensure adherence to development standards, processes, and timelines
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and ensure compliance with best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Utilize prior MMIS/MES and Medicaid experience to align solutions with business needs
  • Stay updated with changes in Medicaid regulations and policies to ensure compliance
