About The Position

Join our HII Mission Technologies team. We work on the only shipyard to execute the Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. The mid-life RCOH includes refueling of nuclear reactors, overhauling most machinery, and modernizing warfare systems. RCOH ensures the Navy's aircraft carriers incorporate improved capabilities needed for success in the remaining 25 years of service. Your accomplishments will make a positive impact supporting the U.S. Navy and America’s national defense! We are seeking a Team Lead to join our growing team. The selected candidate will be Leading the RCOH Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) Mechanical in the overhaul and repairs of various damage control and JP-5 systems.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience to include at least 2 years of team/deck lead experience.
  • Prefer technical/professional certifications.
  • Candidates must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
  • Candidates must understand the Tag out Procedure.
  • Candidates must exhibit leadership experience and past work experience managing teams performing trades.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer technical/professional certifications in the mechanical field.
  • Prefer candidates whom exhibit leadership skills, communication skills, and ethical decision-making
  • Prefer candidates whom possess knowledgeable on JP-5 and various Damage Control systems. (Pump and valve overhaul)

Responsibilities

  • Leads technical teams for installations and repairs, within or across technical trades specialty.
  • Has the ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs.
  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment while performing a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change while maintaining effective customer communications and relations.
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
