About The Position

The Team Lead -Materials is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment and ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials. This position will coordinate the work of other materials employees and train all new material handler new hires. Act as the forklift driving tester for those employees seeking a forklift driving license.

Requirements

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
Basic math skills
Knowledge of JDE Material Handler Menu
Certified forklift operator
Train others
Test forklift drivers
Ability to direct the work of others on the team
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in material handling

Responsibilities

Perform work within takt/cycle time
Perform work per work instructions
Train and mentor new material handlers on the team
Monitor/test new forklift drivers and recertifications
Provide and process movement of material to point of use
Keep work area clean by disposing empty boxes and cardboard, as well as keeping material around the assembly line in order and neat
Inform proper personnel of material shortage
Check in and place materials from other cells
Operate forklift
Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
