Requirements

  • Exhibits good decision-making and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to influence and train others in a respectful manner.
  • Illustrates a minimum level of communication skills (verbal and written) and knows when it is time to escalate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
  • Must possess strong multitasking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Effectively work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead improvements in the areas of equipment reliability and productivity with a focus on electronics and controls.
  • Implement corrective actions and modify machinery control systems (PLCs, Drives, HMIs) to proactively improve equipment safety, reliability, and productivity.
  • Specify/source materials or services required to complete corrective actions or projects.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, circuits, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies.
  • Document procedures and practices (work instructions) to standardize maintenance/repair tasks to be executed by others (ex: calibrations, backups, etc.).
  • Work outside electronic/electrical area when capable and needed to assist in other areas.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Coordinate training activities for new hires, supplement training and provide 30/60/90 progress feedback to Supervisor.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in troubleshooting and eliminating process issues.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in support of day-to-day operations.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in area of cost reduction- areas such as: dimensional control, manufacturing methods, etc.
  • Actively participate in the DHP process and be capable of conducting cell level huddles as needed.
  • Coordinate with support staff to assist in resolving problems as needed.
  • Verify hour-by-hour production rates.
